GOOD BYE PEMBERTON

English version in the end of the french one

Après exactement 4 mois, nous quittons enfin Pemberton. 4 mois de travail, 4 mois pour mettre quelques sous de côté, 4 mois pour cumuler les jours utiles pour pouvoir prétendre au second visa. Oui, j’y pense de plus en plus, car cela fait exactement 6mois que je suis ici, je n’ai pas vu le temps passé et je n’ai même pas découvert un dixième de l’Australie.

Le weekend avant de changer de maison, nous avons commencé par un petit match de Volley Ball au Backpacker pour l’anniversaire de Sam. On a sûrement du jouer 5min, voire moins, jusqu’à ce que Laura se foule la cheville ! Mais le soir on est quand même revenu, avec Alex et Sonja et on a passé une vrai bonne soirée. On a dansé, on a mangé du bon poisson frais, on a rigolé, bref, c’était la meilleure soirée à laquelle on a assisté ! Mais le lendemain, on a passé la journée à l’hôpital pour Laura, verdict, ils ne savent pas exactement mais le mieux c’est de marcher avec des béquilles !Puis le dimanche, Charly, un homme qui vit aussi au Forest Stay, a péché des marrons pour nous et nous a montré comment les cuisiner ! Miam !!

Puis dans la semaine suivante, nous avons fait une petite soirée pour dire au revoir à Filippo, Alex et Sonja.  Et c’était plutôt sympa ;)

Après avoir quitté, larmes aux yeux, notre cher et tendre Forest Stay à Pemberton, nous avons emménagé dans la maison des italiens. Ted n’ayant pas trouvé de voiture pour rentrer chez lui, il a aussi passé ce premier weekend avec nous. Depuis 4 mois, la maison était habitée par ces garçons de surcroit italiens, je vous laisse imaginer son état!!  Du coup, le dimanche avec Joppi, Laura étant toujours à béquilles, nous avons donc donné un petit (toute la journée) coup de propre pour pouvoir nous sentir à l’aise ! Notre première nuit, nous avons laissé une chambre à Ted et partagé la grande à nous 3. Puis, par la suite, la grande chambre sera pour Laura et moi et la petite pour Joppi (sa première chambre toute seule depuis 10 mois !).

Puis s’est passé une semaine et demie de boulot, ou de presque boulot à cause de la pluie ou des pannes de courant ! Comme d’habitude, ramassage de Tamarillos, taillage des avocatiers (j’adore manier la tronçonneuse !!) et pour finir en beauté, ramassage des kiwis !

   

Le temps passé dans cette maison était vraiment agréable, malgré le froid évident, sauf dans le salon et la chambre de Nick qui avait un mur commun et surtout une cheminée commune ! Nous avons passé notre temps libre à lire, regardé des films, mais surtout à rigoler avec les garçons et mon préféré, à chanter. Nick est un très bon guitariste-chanteur-compositeur, et Laura est aussi bonne débutante en guitare. On a aussi tenté une petite fête d’adieux mais je dois avouer que c’était pire que toutes celles auxquelles on a pu assister ! Mais on avait un petit jeu entre nous qui nous a bien fait rire le « ni oui, ni non, ni noms, ni injures » ! Ça nous a valu pas mal de fous rires… Encore merci à Eros et Nick de nous avoir accueillis…

Et maintenant nous voilà de retour à Perth. Nous faisons du couchsurfing pour économiser avant de partir à Bali. Pour ceux qui ne connaissent pas couchsurfing.com, c’est simplement un site où tu peux trouver des gens qui peuvent t’héberger (ou juste boire un coup, surfer, promener…) pour un certain temps sans demander d’argent en échange. Le but est de faire connaissance avec du monde.

Nous passons donc, notre premier weekend non loin de Joondalup chez Jared, avec Marc, Dan et Tony (plus un couple dont je ne me souviens pas les noms, honte à moi !). Dès le premier soir, on s’est senti à l’aise, ils avaient fait un punch de bienvenue pour nous, on a joué aux cartes, écouté de la musique… Le samedi, passage obligé au centre commercial pour nous (plus pour Laura à vrai dire à qui le shopping manquait énormément !) et le soir Films « projet X » et « Horrible bosses » (« Kill the boss » je crois en France). Aujourd’hui, dimanche, me voici sur la plage profitant du soleil et du temps que j’ai pour vous écrire ce post !

After just four months, we finally leave Pemberton. four months of work, four months to save some money, four months to have our days to extend our visa. Yes, I think about it more and more, because it’s exactly six months that I am here, time goes by so fast and I even haven’t discovered a tenth of Australia.

The weekend before moving in the other house, we started with a small Volleyball game at the Backpacker for Sam's birthday. We played maybe 5min or less, until Laura twisted her ankle! But, in the evening, it didn’t matter, we’ve been to the party, with Alex and Sonja and we had a good time. We danced, we ate good fresh fish and we laughed. It was the best party that we went to! But the next day, we spent the whole day at the hospital for Laura, they don’t know exactly what she have but the best is to walk with crutches! Then on Sunday, Charlie, a man who also lives at the Forest Stay, fished marrons for us and showed us how to cook it! Yummy!

Then the following week we had a little party to say goodbye to Filippo, Alex and Sonja. And it was quite nice.

After leaving our dear and tender Pemberton Forest Stay, we moved into the Italian’s house. Ted didn’t find a lift to go home, so he also spent the first weekend with us. For four months, the house was inhabited by those boys, Italian in ADDITION, you can imagine how was the house! So, on Sunday with Joppi, Laura was still with her crutches, we gave a small (the whole day) clean session for us to feel more comfortable! Our first night, we 3 slept in the big bedroom and Ted in the small one. Then, later, the big room was for Laura and me and the small for Joppi (her first room alone since 10 months!).

Then we spent a week and a half of work, or almost work because of the rain and power outages! As usual, collecting Tamarillos, pruning avocado trees (I loved the chain saw!) and to finish, picking kiwi fruits!

The time we spent in this house was really nice, despite the cold (except in the living room and Nick’s bedroom cause they had a common wall and chimney!). We spent our free time for reading, watching movies, but most of the time we were laughing with Eros and Nick and my favorite : we were singing. Nick is a very good guitarist and singer-songwriter, and Laura is also good beginner guitarist. We also tried a small goodbye party but I must admit that it was worse than any parties that we went to! But we had a little game between us "neither yes, yeah or no, no names, no swearing, no saying ‘drink’!" It brought us a lot of laughs ... Again thank you to Nick and Eros to let us move in this house...

And now we're back in Perth. We are couchsurfing to save money before Bali. For those who don’t know couchsurfing.com, it's just a website where you can find people who can accommodate you (or have just a drink, surf, walk ... with them) for some time without asking for money. Just with the aim of meet some new people.

We spend our first weekend near Joondalup at Jared’s house, with Marc, Dan and Tony (plus a couple I can’t remember the name, shame on me). On the first evening, we felt at home, they had a welcome punch for us, we played a dinking card game, listened to music ... Saturday, obligatory passage for us at the mall (more for Laura indeed she missed sooooo much shopping!) and in the evening we were watching movies "project X" and "Horrible bosses". Today, Sunday, here I am on the beach enjoying the sun and the time for writing this post for you!

Merci beaucoup!! pour la région de Pemberton, c'est plus trop la saison. Il y a beaucoup de pluie et du coup moins de travail. La plus part des gens ont leur boulot par le backpacker de Pemberton ou de Manjimup. Mais si tu veux je t'envoie par mail le numéro des endroits où j'ai travaillé sans problème!
